Project Spotlight West Chester Protective Gear:

West Chester Protective Gear has provided products to keep industrial workers safe on the job. They are the largest importers of work gloves in the Western Hemisphere and with West Chester’s spotless reputation, they continue to work diligently to provide superb customer service, excellent products, as well as strive to create new innovative ideas for the industry.

Recently XP Retail had the privilege of working with West Chester Protective Gear to create an incredible trade show booth for The National Hardware Show in Las Vegas. Not only did the design make their booth stand out, but also implemented many of the features XP Retail has to offer. The booth had everything from lightboxes, magnetic wall mounts for a more creative way to display products without disrupting the graphic, inlay structure to give it more of a unique lightbox design, fixture designs for storage display, T.V. wall mounts, Color changing Lightbox counter with an outside corner wrap, a conference room made entirely out of frames, as well as room dividers inside the conference room. The booth was truly well thought out and every detail was carefully designed and assembled in our warehouse before shipping. We could not be happier with how it turned out, but more importantly, Westchester was more than pleased with it. Everything was custom shipped and delivered on location with staff onsite to make sure the install went smoothly. We look forward to working more with West Chester in the future.

Project Spotlight: Tom James

The Tom James Company, with over 100 offices worldwide, is the world’s largest provider of custom and bespoke clothing. XP Retail recently began working with the Tom James Charlotte location to give their corporate art a fresh new look. Now we’ve updated their prints and made new frames that were used for their National Sales Meeting in Orlando to start the 2018 year.

For this project, two factors were key components of a successful partnership between XP and Tom James. First, the graphics needed to be easy to work with and change. As a key player in the fashion industry, where style and fabrics are always evolving, they want their showroom to stay on trend as well. Secondly, they liked that their art would be printed on fabric as it would give their modeled clothing a true-to-life feel. They also found it fitting because, being in the textile market since 1966, they understand and appreciate the art of fabric.

After their National Sales Meeting, the frames will be on display in their Los Angeles, CA and Nashville, TN showrooms. Be on the lookout for more information about our partnership with Tom James.

Project Spotlight: Magnetic Shoe Wall

Project Spotlight: Magnetic Shoe Wall

We worked with a large shoe retailer on a project this past year to draw customers in on opposing sides of their stores. The walls feature a combination of smaller lightboxes with much larger ones below and magnetic shelving throughout. Each lightbox was designed to showcase around 30 shoes while providing flexible adjustments to the shelves.

The magnetic brackets were attached to the both sides of the Matrix Frame light boxes so they can be hidden behind the tension fabric graphic. Once the magnets were positioned properly, the silicone edge of the graphics could be tucked into place. The final step was then taking the acrylic shelves and pressing them up on the fabric graphics. The most exciting feature of this design is that the rows of magnetic brackets can be adjusted. Not only can you decide how many shelves sit on each row, but you can also remove them to feature a traditional tension fabric graphic.

We are excited about how the magnetic brackets and shelving turned out and we look forward to incorporating more of them in our light boxes and non-lit frames as we begin 2018.

Project Spotlight: Häfele America Co.

Project Spotlight: Häfele America Co.

Häfele America Co. serves the U.S. market with innovative services and solutions by focusing on delivering functional hardware and specialty fittings to meet your construction needs. Häfele is well known internationally as a leading source of hardware, fitting systems, lighting and electronic locking systems. With the expansion of their corporate offices and primary distribution center in Archdale, North Carolina, XP Retail worked with Häfele America’s design team to build a custom light box for the entry way into their brand new facilities.

The first light box created a bold statement as customers walked through the front doors while the second helped pull your attention through the lobby and effortlessly transition into their corporate offices and nearby elevators. The second light box is referred to as their “History Wall”. By incorporating images from the very beginnings of Häfele with the ultra-thin monitor highlighting new products it completed their vision for an ultramodern, eye-catching space in their brand new corporate offices. This project also features the smallest light box created by Matrix Frame USA.

The ability to change out the silicone edge fabric prints was a perfect fit for the Häfele brand. Not only does it give them the flexibility to change graphics for product launches, meetings, events, etc. but it further complements their forward thinking approach in the hardware industry.

The frame and graphic were installed by XP Retail.

Project Spotlight: Charlotte Hornets Fan Shop

Project Spotlight: Charlotte Hornets Fan Shop

The Charlotte Hornets decided to make a few changes to the first floors of the Spectrum Center this offseason and we were lucky enough to be a part of their fan shop renovations.

By moving to the Main Lobby, the Hornets Fan Shop is now much easier for fans to access with over 1,000 square feet added. The re-opening of the Hornets Fan Shop launched at the same time as the team’s new Jordan Brand uniforms as Nike becomes the NBA’s uniform provider. The Hornets will be the only team in the NBA wearing Jordan Brand uniforms and the Charlotte community is loving the buzz.

We used Matrix Frame light boxes throughout the entire Hornets Fan Shop. We mounted them to new store fixtures to create an octagon hive in the center of the store and even mounted TV’s to others. Be sure to check out the new Hornets Fan Shop before the season officially begins to grab some new gear and Back the Buzz.

XP Retail worked with the Charlotte Hornet’s contractor to build a lightbox that could fit within a custom made, octagon fixture, in order to align with their bee hive store design. The lightboxes also utilized LED’s that can remain on continuously without generating heat.  Frame and graphic installation by XP Retail.
